Nashville, TN (PRWEB) March 16, 2009 -- Hy-Vee, Inc. and Nashville recording artist, David Joseph, have joined forces to raise funds for the National Fisher House Foundation (Fisher House). Similar to the Ronald McDonald House, Fisher House provides housing for military families so they can be with their loved ones during hospitalization. With a March-April promotion in place at nearly 200 Hy-Vee supermarket stores, a portion of the proceeds made from the sale of Joseph's eleven song CD, "I'm Coming Home," will go directly to Fisher House. Hy-Vee has included a $2 coupon for Joseph's military tribute CD in their monthly coupon book, which has a distribution of one million people. With a 40 second in-house commercial playing in many Hy-Vee store locations plus extensive promotional materials and display units to showcase the CD/DVD two pack, Joseph feels confident that Fisher House will experience increased revenue from this promotion.
Joseph has always been passionate about his support for the military. After 80 performances at 40 military bases across the country and over 25,000 free DVD's distributed to the troops and their families, Joseph wanted to affect the lives of this community more directly. Fisher House provides comfort homes for injured or ill soldiers on major military bases and VA medical centers at no cost, enabling friends and families to be with their loved ones during treatment. It was clear to both Joseph and Hy-Vee that Fisher House was one of the best ways to contribute to the military community in a meaningful way.
