Actor David Keith, best known for his role in An Officer and a Gentleman, has sued an Alabama businessman for failing to provide the financing for a movie on the life of Keith Whitley, the country star who died of alcohol poisoning in 1989 at age 3 The Boxmasters, the country-rock band led by Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton, will be winding down the year during a tour with Willie Nelson. It took less than a month for Jerry Montano, former bassist in the heavy metal band Danzig, to file a lawsuit against John Rich in connection with a fight at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif. Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller will return to the road together in February, billed as Three Girls and Their Buddy. Kenny Chesney has just a few words for next year's CMA nominees for entertainer of the year: "Come get me."
