He began the year by vying against other celebrities in Donald Trump's 12-week reality TV series, The Celebrity Apprentice, where his second place finish raised thousands of dollars for the Food Allerg Rhonda Vincent has announced changes in her band, the Rage. The Raconteurs, a Nashville-based rock band featuring Jack White of the White Stripes, has rerecorded its new single, "Old Enough," as a bluegrass song featuring Ricky Skaggs and Ashley Monroe. Emerson Drive fiddler David Pichette's wife Jill delivered their first child Friday (Nov. 21), the band's publicist announced Monday (Nov. 24). Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood were announced as winners at the American Music Awards on Sunday night (Nov. 23) in Los Angeles. Taylor Swift remains at No. 1 with "Love Story," but the hottest single in country music right now is "Chicken Fried" by the Zac Brown Band. Now we know why Taylor Swift called her new album Fearless. It has absolutely thumped the competition, selling 592,304 copies its first week out, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and thus landing at the top of both Billboard's country and all-genre Billboard 200 charts. |
